FULL CIRCLE: The Big Issue Cymru - May 03
Over the past 20 years or so, Hijinx Theatre’s productions for adults with learning difficulties have gained the company much critical acclaim. Not only are these yearly offerings groundbreaking in their subject matter (recent shows have dealt with the still-taboo topic of relationships between people with learning difficulties, for example) but their three-month tour sees them visiting areas which are generally deprived of live theatre. These simple, yet profound words open the play, liltingly sung by the cast to Paula Gardiner’s crystal clear music and which they accompany on accordion, guitar, double base and percussion.
